Our Story

The Dressing Room Wigan was founded in June of 2009 by the partnership of Carole Cooper and Keren Lawton. 

Their first boutique was on Wigan Lane, just outside of the town centre. However their talent for making bespoke garments soon saw them outgrowing the small space.

In 2011 the pair moved to Wigan Wallgate which hosted their 2nd floor studio and 1st floor boutique.  They expanded their skills to create luxury bridal, prom and evening wear. 

Carole and Keren's popularity grew, featuring in national press for their race day collections year upon year and attending multiple weddings fairs where they exhibit their bridal collections. 

Their fame also saw them feature in Vogue magazine.

During 2021 the team wanted to create a boutique that matched their unique collection of clothing and personalities. They worked together and moved to the latest premises on Mesnes street, Wigan town centre. Using their creative skills. they designed and created a bohemian boutique of dreams, exhibiting all their collections on copper rails, featuring floral displays throughout the store. Their window display features a secret garden with a working swing and hanging plants. It is always the centre of attention.

The team continues to design and create one of a kind garments for their clients to this day and receives countless praise for their attention to detail and customer service.
