Hold the tape measure firmly but not too tightly around the body. It’s not supposed to press in. Stand up straight, in a natural pose, with your heels together and arms resting by the side of your body. Do not pull in your belly. Obtaining accurate measurements is easiest when someone else helps you with the measuring.
Bust - Measure the bust line at the fullest part of your chest. Pull the tape as tight as you can without changing the shape of your breasts. While you are being measured, your arms should be at your side and relaxed.
Waist - Wrap the measuring tape around your torso, at the smallest part of your waist. Typically this is an inch or so above your belly button and is also known as the natural waistline.
Hips - Measure with the tape around the fullest part of the hips.
